Ingredients

For the burger patties

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

For the sauce

  • 1/2 cup kikkoman marinade and sauce (linked below)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Optional- chopped green onions, sesame seeds

Directions

Combine sauce ingredients together in a bowl.

In another bowl combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, salt and pepper.

Separate into 6 equal portions and form 6 patties.

Heat oil in a pan over medium high heat. Cook patties 3 minutes per side. Drain excess liquid and wipe pan clean from burnt bits.

Add teriyaki sauce and bring to a boil. Lower heat to medium low, cover and let simmer for 10 minutes.

Flip patties a few times so that it’s covered in the sauce. Serve over rice.
